Hello everyone! Sorry for the last lame journal entry. I promise I'll make it up with this one.


New DeviantARTIST

To start off, I'd just like tell everyone that my boyfriend, Charles, finally got around to creating his own dA account (~JackBarnak)! Right now he's going to school for an art certificate and next year he's hoping to study for a Bachelor Degree in Comic Arts. So far, he's uploaded a few comics that he's drawn in the past few years. He's planning on adding newer works as time goes on. Most of his art has a comic style to it, but he'll probably be adding some work that he's done in his more traditional art classes (painting, sculpting, photography, etc. )

He's really excited about his new account, so if you feel like it, please check out his page and leave him a message. I know he'll love it. Any encouragement is fantastic!

Life Updates

Last week I was healthy enough to go to all of my classes. I was happy to get up and move around again. Attending classes though... I just have to keep telling myself, there's only one more week left with my current professor. One week. At least it was fun to hanging out with my classmates.

Friday there was a program trip to a hockey game in the next town (Shawinigan). The home team was playing against a team from Québec. Shawinigan ended up winning the game 6-1. The game was okay, but what was the most fun was watching the reactions of my classmates that had never been to a hockey game before. Haha, oh wow, it was great. They all got so into the game

Saturday afternoon my classmate, Sandra, invited the entire class over to her apartment for a small party. Everyone had to bring a meal that was from their own country. There was food from Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, China, and Canada. I ended up bringing maple fudge to the party (the maple syrup being the Canadian part, haha ). All the food was so good! I ate so much!

There was latin music playing the entire time. And lots of dancing. I swear, every hispanophone knows how to dance. I was pulled out into the living room a few times to learn some dance moves. At one point, everyone was dancing in the living room (which was tiny!). It was so much fun, even if I did feel very much like a white anglophone, LOL. I need to learn some better moves for the next party

After the party, Miguel and I went to visit Rizwana at her apartment. She had been sick all last week and we wanted to go and see how she was feeling and give her a bit of company. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the two of them. We just sat and talked for about 4 or 5 hours. It was funny, because some French and Spanish words would slip into our English conversation without us even realizing it. Haha, you could totally tell that we've been in a multi-language/cultural environment for a long time.

The rest of the weekend was spent watching movies (The Spirit and Valkyrie) and cleaning the house with Charles.


Books

This weekend I finished reading City of Glass, the third book in The Mortal Instruments series. This has definitely become one of my favourite series~

A few things I need to say about the book to get it out of my system:
-I totally knew that Sebastian was ____________!!! I knew it!!!
-MagnusxAlec!!! I melted when they finally got their first kiss.
-JacexClary! Yes... I've jumped on the JacexClary love boat. I guess it can't be helped.

Now that I'm done the third book, I'll have to wait until 2011 for the forth in the series! It'll be a long wait.

For my new book, I've started reading The Time Traveler's Wife. I've only read the first 10 pages but I'm already in love with the story. I have a feeling that I'm going to be laughing and bawling my eyes out while reading this story.


Video Games

A little while ago I went on a huge Youtube search for Crisis Core videos (specifically ZackxAerith). After lots of "awws" and cursing "Why did you have to die Zack?!" it got me back into the urge of playing FF:VII. It's about time that I finish the game and get the entire story.

I think I need to start playing the game in a room by myself though, since Charles finds it very amusing how I talk or yell at the characters while I'm fighting


SutekiGo

The ~SutekiGo is still on the hunt for two Code Geass and four Azumanga Diaoh wigs. The others will be getting together to search the internet during the next few weekends, and I'll be trying my best on my own. Hopefully we'll be able to find something soon!
